Positive: Just a short 3-5 min walk from Shingu station and a 10min walk from most nearby attractions and shrines, lots of restaurants nearby (overall this is a very quiet sleepy little town). Sunpatio is a small complex just off one the side streets. It has everything you could need - a washing machine up on the roof with a drying rack, two sitting rooms + shower/toilet + a dining table with a microwave/fridge on the second floor and beds on the ground floor.

Negative: The bedroom being on the ground floor meant it was probably the most susceptible to noise from the ground level right outside and cars passing by. We saw a cockroach and a few mosquitoes in the bedroom. Generally the rooms were all kept reasonably clean but the building complex itself had a funny smell and was run down. There is a self-service laundromat with dryers just round the corner - the washing machine doesn’t have that function. Overall enough for a basic and quick stop by Shingu.
