1 Bedroom House in Ukiha, Yoshiimachi
The first guest house in Yoshiimachi, "Chikugo Yoshiimachiyajuku Ikunami," has opened in a corner of the traditional buildings preservation district in Yoshiimachi, Ukiha.
A machiya-style commercial house built in 1911 for over 100 years. When you enter the entrance, you will see a space called "street garden" where the old-fashioned dirt floor extends from the kitchen to the backyard. Please spend a time traveling in the precious Yoshii Machiya that has been preserved for many years, such as the floor plan as it was at the time of construction, the alcove, and the stairs and columns reminiscent of those days. Please feel free to contact us as it is okay to just visit.
■ Shared Lounge / Living
On the 1st floor, there is a shared space where you can read a book slowly, drink sweets or a little drink and forget the time. (It will be available until 22:00)
The walls are painted in the color of red iron oxide, a color traditionally used in Japan. The ceiling is made of a single panel as it was when the building was first built, giving it the scent of the Meiji era.
A bright 8-tatami Japanese-style room facing south facing Shirakabe-dori.
The walls, with their ancient Japanese bengara color, give the room a calm yet modern impression. The ceiling is made of a single board as it was when the room was first built, giving it a Meiji period flavor.
