Hotel in Taiki, Memu
Memu, Taiki-cho, Hiroo-gun, Hokkaido.
In this place, which means "where the spring springs" in the Ainu language, there used to be a training center for the thoroughbred production ranch "Taiki Farm," which sent many famous horses to the central horse racing world.
Eventually, the vast land of about 56,000 tsubo left by the relocation of the ranch is the experimental housing of Japan's leading architects such as Kengo Kuma and Toyo Ito, and "International". It has become a rare "architectural sanctuary" in the world, dotted with the best works of the "University Architecture Competition", and in November 2018, we "Memu Earth" converted the experimental house in the facility into a hotel. "Hotel" was born.
Our hotel is a new place for people and nature through a hotel that is unique in the world, where customers can enjoy the world of discomfort woven by advanced architecture and the innocent nature of Tokachi. We would like to create co-creation.
We at "Memu Earth Hotel"
A next-generation sustainable space designed by Keio University students. This building is a space created in the image of a house where horses and humans can coexist. You can actually live in horses, but there are no horses.
