Positive: Everything* What an amazing place. Wonderful hosts, pretty views, great vibe with fun decorations and furniture. Bathroom in private room is top-notch, tub has cutting-edge features. Shared area has lots of space for hanging out, even musical instruments. Kitchen is efficient and easy to use. Easy access to bus stop. The building is a renovated version of the same centuries-old UNESCO cottages that everyone comes to see in the Gokayama area, so that’s a nice plus.

Negative: *The beds in the private rooms are bunk beds and the mattresses are thin/hard. I was okay with it but not for everyone. That is the only negative thing.

Summary: I’d come back just to soak up the vibe and say Hi to Koji and Pyong. Excellent one-of-a-kind place.
