Positive: Irou was difficult to find but once you're there, it's lovely. There are signs along the way to the place, but arriving in the late evening, they were difficult to see. Getting in was easy, I was informed by Iro several times (thank you), where the key is, the pass code for the door, and a comprehensive booklet is inside. The spacious studio apartment looks out to sea, a welcoming view in the morning. Aircon/upright oil heater in the room, comfortable beds etc. Clean, spacious, comfortable and sea views. I would recommend this if you want to stay on the western side of the island. Take food with you, as there aren't too many eateries around there.

Negative: I wanted to initially book this place for 2 nights. When I booked via Booking.com, I paid double the amount and thinking I had paid for 2 nights. On rechecking the booking, it seemed that it was only one night and the remainder of the yen was tax and cleaning! So beware. I rang the number provided for Iro, I spoke with a kind gentleman who spoke English and stated that I can't book the same room for another night. He gave me booking.com phone number. It's hopeless trying to speak with a human in booking.com. So I booked a room elsewhere on the island.
