Summary: If you’re a non-smoker/sensitive to stale cigarette air, definitely avoid booking the smoking rooms. I must have messed up or maybe they gave me the wrong room but I was stuck in a smoking room and the whole floor stank as soon as you step out of the elevator. The plus is that they do have air purifier floor machine in the room and a window that opens, which was very considerate to try and purify the air, but in the end the smell was just so strong. I also unexpectedly got a cold from the trip, so breathing the stale cigarette air was awful. Not sure if other floors with non smoking rooms smelled better… overall it’s clear this building is very old and in need of a deep clean. Underneath the bed was very dusty and my boyfriend was sneezing the whole time. Love that this hotel was right next to Shin Osaka station. They’re also building/renovating a floor 1 7/11. Great location. But not necessarily a comfortable stay.
