Summary: We had a great stay at Hayshida’s independent house! He was very prompt and helpful in all communications, from our initial inquiry through to check-in and check-out.The location is convenient—Kokubunji Station is only 15 minutes from Shinjuku, making it a good base for exploring Tokyo and beyond. Just keep in mind that it’s about a 15–20 minute walk from the house to the station, as the host accurately noted.The house is clean and functional, with a washer/dryer which came in very handy. As other guests have mentioned, the staircase to the second floor is quite steep, and the bathroom being on the first floor may not be ideal for everyone.A couple of small suggestions—adding a comfortable couch in the living room and providing a few more dishes and utensils would make the stay even better.Overall, a solid, budget-friendly option in the Tokyo suburbs. We’d definitely recommend it!
