Summary: Charming place closest to the many buddhas, and it’s walking distance to the Toshogu complex. It’s clean and comfortable. There are 3 restaurants, several cafes, and a Lawsons nearby. The onsen was nice. We took a bus from the Tobu Nikko station to go to the hotel. After you leave the bus, it’s a ~10 minute walk. The tourist info center at the station can tell you which bus to take (2A, 2B, or 2C) and where to get off (stop 8 - Yasukawacho). The only problem was that it ran out of water some point in the morning (soon after 8 am), which was annoying for those who opted to exercise and couldn’t take a shower. We later saw the water truck come around noon. But we still enjoyed our stay there!
