Positive: Amazing location, the view is just stunning

Negative: This place and the whole island would appear to be a no go for westerners. Restaurants kept saying they were closed with people inside at 8PM… 🤔 car rentals didn’t have cars for us, but then they were buzzing at the port terminal hunting potential clients. Lots of NOs from the hotel staff, extremely poor English language, lots of difficulties overall, really too rigid, absolutely never proactive. We have been told not to get to the baths as we showed up at the hotel early, no facilities until check in time. No chance to rent a car, a scooter, or a bicycle even, we ended up spending a fortune in taxi rides. We couldn’t stay for dinner at the hotel restaurant because we didn’t know we had to book; we needed to wait to be seated for breakfast (just seated) as we got to the dining space at 7.45 with breakfast time starting at 8.00am. We tried to get something to drink after the beach and we got refused as that was the day off for the bar !!! 🤣
