Las Peiras is a bright, airy palazzo style villa, 215m2 with stunning panoramic views south over the Pyrenees. Architect designed, it was constructed in 2006. Ground floor has a large atrium with spiral staircase, two spacious living areas plus dining area, library, kitchen and utility room. The four double bedrooms with king size or double beds all have en-suite bathrooms. Both upstairs bedrooms have large south facing balconies. Single bed available.
There are large private gardens with lawn, flowering shrubs and olive and fruit trees. It is not overlooked. There is a full-size swimming pool (10mx5m) with alarm plus poolside shower. Terraced and courtyard areas allow outdoor dining and relaxation. A covered dining area adjacent to the pool is equipped with fridge, kitchen and barbecue. The house has solar power and includes WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier.
The villa is situated in a secluded location on the edge of the delightful circular village of Cailhau, surrounded by vineyards selling local wine. A bistro/bar is two minutes walk away. Local bread and croissants are available daily from the delivery van. The village is known for its local artists.
Belvèze du Razes, 4km away, has a supermarket, bank , boulangerie, bar and restaurant as well as a pharmacy and local medical clinic. The villa is about 20 mins from Carcassonne, and 15 minutes from Limoux. Nearby is the medieval market town of Mirepoix, and many classic hill villages such as Fanjeau. Cathar castles are easily reached and the Mediterranean is an hour away. A little further away are the ski slopes of the Pyrenees.
This property is available to rent weekly Sunday to Sunday. Shorter or midweek stays by arrangement. Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are included. Small pets by prior arrangement and a small daily surcharge.

La maison dispose de grands jardins privés de 2500m2, d'une grande piscine (10x5m) et de nombreuses terrasses pour les repas et la détente en plein air. Il y a une salle extérieure couverte pour déjeuner à l'ombre à midi ou pour un barbecue le soir.La maison est située dans un endroit isolé en bordure du charmant village médiéval circulaire (circulade) de Cailhau, entouré de vignobles et, en été, de champs de tournesols. Dans le village, il y a un bistrot / bar avec un coin salon extérieur où le déjeuner et le dîner sont servis. Les croissants et des viennoiseries locaux sont disponibles tous les jours (sauf le dimanche et le lundi) à partir du camion de livraison.
