Summary: I really loved this retro hotel on top of the mountainside. I had the mysterious looking onsen all to myself several times around 9-10 pm and it was so cool. The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take at least an hour using public transit. Taxis are available as long as you are willing to spend a little money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I used this hotel as my home base while doing the Shimanami Kaido and it was nice to come "home" to a hot meal and hot onsen after a full day of biking.
