Summary: I was surprised that the staff at the reception desk spoke no English—nada. Hence communicating was quite difficult since I don’t speak any Japanese, nada. But it’s the case that English is not spoken almost anywhere in Shikoku. Apart from the language issue, my stay at the hotel was quite pleasant, the hotel location proved to be excellent for day trips on the island and my room was very comfortable.
