Summary: The hotel is a Japanese style resort by the Lake, ("traditional" and "old world style"; We had to take off our shoes at the hotel entrance). Yet it had all the modern amenities expected these days. My wife and I stayed in the Premier Suite recently. It was very spacious and had a private Onsen. The living room had a lovely view of the tall trees lining the Lake, and 2 large massage arm chairs to enjoy the sunset view. Dinner was served in the Suite, kaiseki style, on the large dining table. Breakfast was served in a "private" dining area in the adjoining restaurant, and there was a view of the garden area in front of the Lake. The bathroom was large, and had a fantastic shower (but no bathtub). We enjoyed walking around the lovely neighbouring lakeside area and looking at the Volcano mountains. Hotel staff were always present, polite and helpful - Overall, a most pleasant stay !
