Summary: This is not the traditional type of big, luxurious Japanese onsen hotel but it’s new, relaxing, airy and chic. In room bath is great with amazing view from the room. Food (Japanese western fusion) is good and staff is friendly and helpful. There is a noodle bar which opens until late and is impressive for a hotel of this scale. The overall design is modern and chill. It’s a good place for urban getaway. The neighborhood is very quiet too. Outdoor onsen water is not hot enough which is worth improving. There is a notice which says that the bath may not be hot enough because of the cold temperature but winter around Lake Toya has always been like this so it’s not a good excuse.
