Positive: The hotel was beautiful and the room we had seemed newly renovated (Semi Suite Double room) and was very comfortable. The onsen was very clean and spacious, and the yukatas were colourful and lovely. We upgraded our meals to the Nagi beef option and it did not disappoint although a little pricey. The breakfast buffet was good with wide selection. Parking was free and the place was not difficult to find. Check in/out was smooth and the Manager at the dining hall was very helpful and friendly explaining various activities we could do in the area. There is a table tennis table and a small diner in the hotel which was convenient. We will certainly return.

Negative: Very minor points - While the bed was comfortable, some ryokans offer options for pillow type which is a bonus (the buckwheat hulls takes getting used to). The booking.com site did not offer dinner meal options (eg Nagi beef) and we only discovered that my friend's reservation had a better meal plan (she has booked on another website with meal options). Thankfully I wrote to the hotel and they promptly replied and allowed the meal upgrade for a price.

Summary: Beautiful hotel, excellent service.
